Lesson 9
Ένα γράμμα για τον Παράδεισο...
A letter to Heaven...
As the days go by, the torturing gets worse and worse. His boss becomes even harsher on him. However, Anastasios tries to hold onto his beloved grandmother's cross tightly. A cross that has a piece of wood from the Holy Cross inside it. It is so precious it helps him not lose his courage. But even if he tries to have hope and withstand the situation...he is still hungry, cold and in pain.

His feet are in so much pain. This winter the weather is freezing, and he doesn't even have shoes. They have worn out and so have his clothes.
"God, what shall I do?"
he wonders while delivering his last tobacco package.
And suddenly he jumps up with excitement. He leaves his broom in a corner and enthusiastically grasps a blank paper.
