Lesson 8

Πακέτα καπνού με λόγια των Αγίων Πατέρων...

Tobacco-bags with words from the Holy Fathers...

He works at a relative's tobacco shop, with the aim to help his family financially. Also, he wants to continue his education there.

His tiredness is great, but his praise to God becomes even greater. His feet suffer, but his soul smiles.

His boss is a cruel man, but Virgin Mary who consoles him, is sweet. His boss screams at him, but She hugs him. His boss doesn't pay him, but praying repays him.

Despite the pain and daily labor Anastasios doesn't forget his religious duties. At night, when he goes up to his dirty loft and lies down feeling fatigue, he forgets all about his poverty

During that time, he only thinks about the priceless treasure he keeps hidden in his room, the words of the Holy Fathers.
